He may have just won his second Wimbledon title but Andy Murray only had one thing on his mind when he caught up with Prince William after the Wimbledon final on Sunday. Andy and wife Kim welcomed their first child, daughter Sophia, in February – and William asked how he's coping with the lack of sleep.

The royal was quick to congratulate Andy, 29, and added: "I don't know how you manage it with no sleep. How is your daughter doing, alright? Is the family good?"

Andy responded: "Yeah, she's great, yeah, she's actually sleeping, the last three nights she's slept through, the first three months were tough but she's five months now."

Referencing Andy's win, William joked: "Good omens."

William and Kate know a thing or two about babies who have trouble sleeping, after he recently revealed Prince George "never slept" when he was younger.

During a royal engagement in May, William discussed parenting with Abbey Clancy, and confessed he wished he'd had an app called Baby Buddy, which offers parents advice and support they might otherwise not seek help for.

And having a baby completely changed Wimbledon for Andy. He told BBC Sports: "Experiencing [it] as a parent has been different because now I have a family to get home to. For the first time ever, tennis is probably more of a distraction from my home life than the other way around.

"Beforehand, in the build-up to a Slam final, I'd always be thinking about that match. I don't feel like that now – I'm just looking forward to the next time I see Sophia and Kim."
