Missing wedding guests
While King Charles, Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and more royal family members were in attendance, there were a handful of relatives missing from the festivities. Peter’s uncle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson were absent, as was the groom’s cousin Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, who reside in California.
Ahead of the nuptials, a friend told HELLO!: "Peter and Harry haven't spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn't been invited."
Also noticeable missing on June 6 was Lady Louise Windsor, though her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and her younger brother, James, Earl of Wessex, were all spotted at the church. Louise is wrapping up her final year of her degree at the University of St Andrews in Scotland.
Charles and Camilla skip wedding reception and jet off by helicopter
It's a busy day for the monarch, who skipped his nephew's wedding reception to attend Derby Day at Epsom Downs. A source tells HELLO! that King Charles and Queen Camilla were whisked off via car to a nearby airfield where his helicopter was waiting.
Succeeding the late Queen Elizabeth II, who served as patron for 68 years, the royal couple now acts as joint patrons of The Jockey Club, the organization that owns and operates the Surrey-based racecourse. The late Queen's dedication to the historic event was legendary; between the beginning of her reign in 1952 and the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, she only ever missed the race twice.
Expressing the venue's excitement, Jim Allen, General Manager of Epsom Downs Racecourse, stated: "We are honoured and thrilled that Their Majesties will be joining us at Epsom Downs on Derby Day.
"The King and Queen show great enthusiasm, interest and support for British horseracing, and their attendance next week will be a incredibly proud moment for our entire team and everyone connected with the racecourse."
Did you catch the newlyweds' kiss?
After getting situated in their car following the wedding ceremony at All Saints Church, the new Mr. and Mrs. shared a kiss in the backseat.

The bride's tiara has a connection to her engagement ring
Harriet sparkled as she walked down the aisle to marry Queen Elizabeth's eldest grandson. For the grand occasion, the bride opted for a vintage diamond and pearl tiara loaned by Pragnell, the same British jeweler behind her engagement ring and wedding earrings.
The sparkler is no stranger to royal affairs. It made appearances at the coronations of both King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II.According to the brand: "The tiara dazzles the eye by showcasing a design typical of both the Edwardian and Deco periods - which is very rare in all jewellery."

Peter and Harriet's blended family isn't the first within the royal family
When the groom and bride exchanged vows on Saturday, they didn't just become husband and wife, the newlyweds also became stepparents. Both Peter and Harriet had children from their respective first marriages. Theirs isn't the first blended family within the royal family. Other royal family members have welcomed stepchildren into their lives, like Peter and Harriet.
In 2005, Charles became a stepfather to Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes upon his marriage to Camilla, while she became a stepmother to his and Princess Diana's sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. Princess Beatrice also stepped into a stepparent role in 2020 when she married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who has a son named Christopher "Wolfie" Woolf from his previous relationship with Dara Huang.
Back in 2024, a source told HELLO! that Peter, Harriet and their kids had become "a tight unit, very quickly" and seemed to "be a bit of a family." Now, two years later, they have officially become a blended family of five.
Why Peter and Harriet's wedding was a turning point for the royals
HELLO!'s Editor Jessica Callan takes a deep dive into why the newlyweds' big day was a turning point for the British royal family.
There are royal weddings, and then there are ROYAL WEDDINGS. From Prince William and Catherine's spectacular big day at Westminster Abbey, to Prince Harry and Meghan's 'I dos' at the incredible St George's Chapel in Windsor, we've seen the royals put on some magnificent shows of pomp and ceremony as only the royals do. But the low-key All Saints Church in the honey-hued Cotswold village of Kemble couldn't be a more unlikely setting for such an important day. This may have been Peter Phillips' second marriage but there were way more to his nuptials than a happily ever after with his stunning bride Harriet Sperling...

Goodbye and congrats!
And that's a wrap on today's royal wedding coverage. Thank you for following along. From the guests to the bride's dress and tiara, not to mention the bridesmaids, it was a beautiful day despite the rain (but hey, they say rain on your wedding day is good luck!).
Congratulations to the newlyweds, Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling!
