Prince Harry makes a surprise appearance at gala - six miles from brother, Prince William
On Thursday evening, Prince Harry surprised royal fans as he stepped out at the United for Freedom gala at London's Imperial War Museum. Looking suitably suave in his velvet-trimmed suit, the redheaded royal looked in great spirits as he arrived at the event, smiling happily at waiting cameras.
Harry gave a heartfelt speech at the event, which was held to support Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict.
The husband of Meghan Markle said: "I have seen something in Ukraine that makes it impossible for me to look away. I have met people who have lost limbs, lost homes and lost loved ones — and yet somehow find the strength to rebuild," he quipped. "I have spent time with members of the Ukrainian Invictus community: men and women who served their country and suffered life-changing injuries, but who continue to compete, to lead, to laugh and to look forward."
Meanwhile, Harry's older brother, Prince William, featured in a video link at the late Dame Deborah James's Bowelbabe Fund Rebel Ball, held on what would have been her 45th birthday, just six miles away at The Hurlingham Club, Ranelagh Gardens.
The father of three praised Deborah's "rebellious hope" and her continuing legacy, raising awareness of bowel cancer.
