A royal GP to King Charles and Queen Camilla has been found dead at home – with her husband charged with her murder.
Dr Hannah Terry, 45, was found dead at her home in Dersingham, on the edge of the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, on Sunday, The Sun reported.
Her husband, Mark Cain, was charged with her murder on Tuesday night and was due to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Wednesday morning.
According to a follow-up report in The Telegraph, Hannah had been hosting a sleepover for her children's friends at the time.
The accomplished medic was said to be a GP for senior members of the royal family during their stays at Sandringham, with the King and Queen reportedly informed of her death.
The mother of three sons worked at the Heacham GP surgery for nine years, before leaving last summer to spend more time with her young family, later working at the Grimston Medical Centre in King's Lynn, which serves the royals. She also worked privately at her treatment company, Norfolk Sky Aesthetics.
Tributes to Hannah pour in
Councillor GP Pallavi Devulapalli, who worked with Hannah, wrote online: "Dr Hannah worked briefly with me at my former practice — intelligent, really pleasant, a lovely colleague.
"I am genuinely struggling to understand what happened."
King Charles and Queen Camilla, who have returned to London after an extended stay in Balmoral, are thought to have been informed but are yet to publicly comment.
Grimston Medical Centre was closed on Tuesday in the wake of Hannah's death, citing "extremely difficult circumstances affecting our practice team".
A notice on the surgery's website said: "We apologise for the disruption and appreciate your patience and understanding at what is a very difficult time for our colleagues."
Residents, patients and Hannah's colleagues have all started to lay floral tributes outside the surgery, sharing powerful words about the "kind and wonderful" medic.
