The Princess of Wales is a proud mother to three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, and she has revealed her very precious nickname for her youngest during an engagement in Northern Ireland on Friday.

The royal stepped out alongside her husband in Belfast, and when stopping to talk to a group of young school children, the name was dropped. One of them quizzed Princess Catherine on what her children's names were and she replied: "Thank you for asking. I have George and Charlotte, and the little one is called Louis."

It was incredibly sweet of Catherine to refer to Louis as the "little one" considering he is already eight years old. Clearly, he is still considered the baby of the family.

In the past, the royals have revealed that they also call Louis 'Lou Lou' or 'Lou Bug'.

Louis isn't the only child given a nickname, as in the past Princess Catherine has referred to her daughter as "lottie," a shortened version of Charlotte.

Their eldest, Prince George, has a pun-tastic nickname. Reportedly, this parents took to calling him  "PG", standing for Prince George. From there, William and Catherine playfully took the next step and began calling him "PG Tips" or simply "Tips," after the classic British tea brand.

The Prince and Princess of Wales kicked off their day in South Belfast at 'The Commons,' a project focused on transforming a local church on Ormeau Road into a vibrant community space. Undeterred by the wet weather, William and Catherine were poised with umbrellas to meet with community members, organisers and local supporters.

The primary focus of their joint engagement centred on Prince William’s Homewards initiative, which works to prevent and end homelessness across the UK. Throughout the visit, the royal couple met with local organisations and young people who are actively driving community solutions and combating homelessness in the region.

As well as impressing onlookers with their dedication to the cause, members of the public were taken aback by Catherine's striking outfit choice. The royal donned an elegant green tartan pleated skirt by Emilia Wickstead with a white ruffle blouse and a black coat by Alexander McQueen, cinched together with a large buckle belt, all finished off with a Mulberry bag.

Volunteer Pauline McGouran said the princess chatted enthusiastically about the importance of crafts in bringing people together and bettering mental health, and Pauline pointed out her skirt choice too! "She was just lovely, incredibly charming and interested. And we all said no one of us could have carried off a skirt like that!" she said.
