Paris has long been a favourite destination for loved-up couples in search of a break, but Hollywood's hottest pairing have discovered romance isn't the only thing the French capital has to offer.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie decided to make it a family affair when they took children Maddox and Zahara to the City of Light. And the Tinseltown twosome treated the youngsters to an afternoon of acrobatic fun when they visited the renowned Bouglione Circus at the Cirque D'Hiver theatre.

Even the Lara Croft star was no doubt impressed by the daredevil antics of renowned trapeze artist Natalia Ergorova. The Oscar-winning actress then got to see her namesake indulge in some anarchic mischief when clowns Angelina and Mimi emerged into the arena.

After nightfall, with the little ones safely tucked up in bed, the A-list pair would surely have relished a moonlight stroll around famous sights like the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysées. Paris is also a mecca for art lovers, with the Musee d'Orsay and, of course, the Louvre, holding some of the most prestigious collections in the world. But it is usually the city itself that most impresses visitors, with the banks of the Seine and a myriad charming cafes creating an ambiance that is truly unique.
