Mariah Carey is enjoying the countdown to Christmas on her annual festive break in Aspen. The All I Want for Christmas singer has been joined by her twins Moroccan and Monroe for the family getaway, along with boyfriend James Packer.

It appears to be a white Christmas for the family, who have been spending time playing and having snowball fights in the snowy setting, as documented on Instagram by Mariah.

In one photo Mariah can be seen looking characteristically glamorous as she plays in the snow wearing a khaki snowsuit with Dior snow boots and sunglasses, while another sees her joined by her four-year-old twins for a snowball fight. "I got u mommy," she captioned the sweet photo.

Mariah also decorated gingerbread men with the youngsters, with the trio looking incredibly happy as they sat at a dining table surrounded by icing and sweets. She captioned the photo: "#CountdownToChristmas #GingerbreadCreations #FamilyFunTime #MerryChristmas".

The 45-year-old has also spent some quality time with James, her boyfriend of six months, as they explored the Colorado town together. The loved-up pair were also spotted in the VIP section at the World Snow Polo Championship in Aspen, where they held hands and cosied up together to watch the sporting event.

Mariah's fun family holiday comes just days after she revealed her excitement for Christmas as her twins are finally old enough to enjoy it more.

Speaking to Ross King on ITV's Lorraine, Mariah explained: "Christmas is the best time of the year for me. Even better with having the twins, absolutely, couldn't be better. [I'm] so excited to have Christmas this year, they really finally understand a little bit more about the holiday. I'm like finally! They're only four."
