Alex Jones has decided to avoid the January blues by taking a trip of a lifetime with her young family. The One Show presenter and her husband Charlie Thomson have jetted to New Zealand with their young son Teddy - the little boy's first visit to his father's home country. Alex took to Instagram on Thursday to share a snapshot of their trip. The gorgeous black-and-white photo shows Charlie looking on at the ocean, which she captioned: "My husband in his happy place. NZ, breath." Fans went on to wish Alex a happy holiday, with one telling her: "Hope you are all having a great time," while another added: "Stunning place and beautiful people."

The holiday marks 11-month-old Teddy's second trip abroad. The little boy – who turns one on 22 January – was taken to France for two weeks with his family back in the summer. Alex recently described 2017 as being the "best one yet," following the arrival of her son. The doting mum marked the end of the year by sharing a touching never-before-seen photo of her with Charlie and Teddy, which was taken in the hospital shortly after his arrival.

The black-and-white picture – which was posted on her Instagram account – showed the new mum breastfeeding her baby, which she captioned: "2017 you were the best yet. Happy new year to all our friends. Blwyddyn newydd dda bawb. Here's to a happy and healthy 2018 xxx." Many fans were quick to praise Alex on sharing the photograph, with one writing: "Thank you for sharing such a beautiful positive breastfeeding photo. Your photo will help a lot of mamma's to be to be confident to breastfeed well done you xx." Another user said: "Beautiful picture Alex. Happy New Year to you & yours." A third added: "What a beautiful photograph! Wishing you all another wonderful year...."
