Melissa Gilbert is keeping her head up amid her husband Timothy Busfield's legal woes.
Since the West Wing alum's arrest in January, the Little House on the Prairie star has appeared to stand by her husband, including in court, after he was charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse.
She made her return to social media earlier this week after last sharing an update in January, and now promises "so much more to come."
On Saturday, May 18, Melissa, 62, shared a filter-free photo of herself, bringing her Modern Prairie app's "Finally Getting the Picture" campaign over to Instagram.
The selfie sees her posing in what appears to be a bedroom, with a wide smile, her hair propped into a messy bun, and exposed shoulders.
"Ok @officialmodernprairie so many women posted photos on our app, I'll accept the challenge and bring it here to IG," she first wrote.
"This is me. No make up. Early morning. Jammies. No filter. Definitely getting into the picture of my life today. So much more to come," she added, along with a slew of hashtags.
The post, as of writing, garnered just over 6,000 likes, though Melissa disabled the ability for users to comment on it.
Melissa, who has been married to Timothy since 2013, had her first major interview to speak on her husband's arrest last month, with George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America. Speaking alongside her lawyer Larry Stein, she said on why she decided to speak out now: "It's time. We've been hearing and reading too much untruth and we felt that the time was right to speak out," noting: "I wasn't capable until now, it was too traumatic."
With her attorney doing most of the talking initially, he maintained the two boys accusing Timothy of inappropriate touching denied so at first, also refuting claims Melissa had a relationship with them, noting she gave every child working on set gifts, not just the two alleged victims.
Both maintained that the boys' parents are "making this all up," emphasizing "absolutely" when George suggested they contended as much. "They are victims of their parents, not Tim," Stein maintained, accusing the boys' parents of making the accusations for financial gain, as they allegedly blame Tim for their sons' supposed firing.
"Hell," Melissa said, describing the recent months. "This has been the most traumatizing experience of our lives. Our life as we knew it is done. We are grieving what we had. All of our plans, all of our dreams, all of our ideas, for Tim he's done, he's canceled, even if he's exonerated. He will always be that guy. The last person in the world who would hurt a child. And believe me, if I thought for a second that Tim Busfield hurt a child, he'd have a lot more to worry about than prison."
