Demi Moore has dominated the Cannes Film Festival red carpet with her bright, bold and fashion-forward looks, including her purple Gucci organza gown and her electric pink Matières Fécales look.
The Substance actress, who sits on the jury for the Palme d'Or prize, proved that she wasn't done turning heads on the red carpet when she arrived in a unique, avant-garde look on Monday ahead of the Fjord screening.
The outfit featured sleek, tailored black trousers and an asymmetrical top made of a cascade of black feathers, with one end of the piece reaching her feet and the other draping over her shoulder.
Demi added a statement jeweled choker and matching diamond rings to complete the look, as well as bold, oversized black sunglasses. She wore her dark locks straight down her back and oozed confidence in the eye-catching outfit.
The 63-year-old's look was a far cry from her usual style, which is encapsulated by glamorous gowns, bright colors and bold patterns. "People are coming up to us like, 'Oh my God, we're so looking forward to what's coming up for the next red carpet,'" said her stylist of 20 years, Brad Goreski, to Harper's Bazaar.
"To be able to bring people that kind of joy and excitement and anticipation through fashion is exciting for me. And I think it keeps it exciting for her when she's getting changed four times a day," he continued.
One of the most talked-about Cannes outfits was her bright pink Matières Fécales gown, which featured deliberate tearing around the skirt to emulate decay.

"When Demi and I were brainstorming about Cannes, I just said to her, 'Look, what I'm really feeling for you right now is like a super colorful, optimistic, vibrant, kind of effervescent presence on the carpet,'" said Brad.
"She also wanted to explore some newer designers she hasn't worn before. I sent her some links and she screen-grabbed that pink gown…we've never really done a full-skirted gown like that. That's not something she's typically been drawn to."
Brad added that Demi was drawn to the edgy yet bright look as it reflected her own personality. "The dress has this slightly decayed effect to it, but then at the same time it was heavily sculpted and had a sweetness. There's a combination of so many things there that I think she also embodies," said Brad.
2026 marks Demi's first appearance as a jury member at Cannes, following her incredible resurgence in 2025 thanks to the success of her film The Substance. "My first thought is 'Me?'" she said of being asked to be on the jury for the prestigious event.
"I had such a beautiful experience here a few years ago… just to be surrounded by cinema and the love of cinema, and the joy of diving in and being surrounded by those who share that, just felt like a joy, and who can complain about the beautiful view of this incredible place? I feel tremendously honored and super excited. I feel like a little kid playing a grown-up."
