Dolly Parton's fans will always love her, even if the odd social media post gives them a fright.

The singer, 80, took to social media over the weekend with a photo from a past shoot, showing her reclining against a tree with the phrase: "The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain," captioning it.

The nature of the shot, a slightly blurry photo, with the one-sentence caption, however, led some to assume the worst, especially in the light of the singer's recent candid confessions about her health and stepping back from performing.

"I thought the lord called you home, diva," one follower quipped, with another adding:  "I just had a panic attack," and a third also saying: "Dolly that scared me I genuinely thought you had died. Love you forever mama." One replied: "I keep seeing these and then I have a mini heart attack every time."

Earlier this month, the "Jolene" singer returned to social media with an extensive update on her life and health over the past year, especially in the wake of her husband Carl Dean's passing and turning 80 (which you can watch above).

"I have some good news and a little bad news," she started, explaining that she's currently on "meds and treatments" for an unknown condition, and phrased her current health in comparison with a car, adding: "My transmission is slipping, my oil pan is leaking and my muffler's busted; and my shocks and pistons need to be replaced."

Saying she was "swimmy-headed," Dolly continued: "I can't be dizzy carrying around banjos, guitars, and such on five-inch heels – and you know that I'm going to be wearing them! Not to mention all those heavy rhinestone outfits, the big hair, my big... personality. Lord, that would make anybody swimmy-headed."

Fans of Dolly were briefly scared by her latest post

"But seriously, my immune system and my digestive system got all out of whack over the past couple of three years, and they're working real hard on rebuilding and strengthening those," Dolly shared with reference to her struggle with kidney stones as well. "And hopefully I'll be up to snuff again soon."

She did also sadly announce that her Las Vegas residency, which had previously been postponed, would be cancelled outright. However, she will still remain active, make videos, be at Dollywood, and continue work on her upcoming Broadway-bound musical.

The singer reassured fans that she was doing much better than they thought

"And I just want you to know I thank you for standing by me, and that I will always love you. Thank you," she concluded.

Last October, when Dolly's sister Frieda Parton posted a message asking fans for "prayers" for her sister, both the singer's manager and Dolly herself put out statements to confirm that she was indeed nowhere near as sick as people were making her out to be.

"I just want you to know I thank you for standing by me, and that I will always love you."

"I ain't dead yet!" she quipped. "I wanted to put everybody's mind at ease, those of you that seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate. I appreciate your prayers, 'cause I'm a person of faith. I can always use the prayers for anything and everything. But I want you to know that I'm okay."
