It's an extra special, celebratory week for Jenny McCarthy and her family.
On Monday, May 18, the John Tucker Must Die actress rang in her son Evan Asher's 24th trip around the sun.
The former model shares the birthday boy with ex-husband John Asher, an actor, to whom she was married from 1999 to 2005. Since 2014, she has been married to Donnie Wahlberg.
In honor of Evan's special day, Jenny took to Instagram and shared a video montage featuring photos of Evan through the years.
Among them are selfies of them on a hike, at the beach in Malibu, and during what appears to be her wedding to Donnie.
"I can't believe you are 24 [years] old today. Time flies when you have the greatest son [on] the planet. I'm so proud of the man you've become," Jenny captioned the Reel, which was set to Lenny Kravitz's "Happy Birthday."
Fans were then quick to take to the comments section under the post and also remark on their disbelief, with one writing: "You don't realize how fast time goes by until you watch what you created grow. Happy birthday Evan. You sure have grown up to be an amazing human," as others followed suit with: "Can't believe you have a 24-year-old! Happy birthday Evan, may your day be as bright as the light you give buddy!" and: "Aww! Such sweet mother and son photos," as well as: "Happy birthday! Hope he has the best day. 24, wow. Where does time go."
Evan lives between Los Angeles and Chicago, and per his Instagram, where he has over 50k followers, he works as a YouTuber, writer, director, actor, and video editor.
He also took to Instagram to commemorate his birthday, sharing a sweet group photo of his celebrations, which included both his dad John and his stepfather Donnie, plus the latter's son Elijah Wahlberg.
In addition to Elijah, who is also 24, Donnie is also a dad to son Xavier, 33, who he shares with ex-wife Kimberly Fey.
Jenny, who made a rare red carpet appearance with Evan last December, has been open throughout his life about his health woes, including his autism diagnosis. Speaking on an episode of Maria Menounos' Heal Squad in March 2025, she recalled a seizure of his that led to a cardiac arrest. "Waiting for the paramedics when he went into cardiac arrest for that seizure, there's nothing worse," she said. "I had so many conversations with God in that moment of like, 'Bring back my boy.'"
"Then I got the autism diagnosis shortly after that, I hit such a low course being compounded with that — the seizures and the autism diagnosis — I just remember crying so hard in the shower, like one of those scenes you see in a movie where you're like in so much pain ... and that felt so helpless," she added.
