Famous family

Donnie's famous surname will surely bring another familiar A-list name to mind. His brother Mark has starred in comedy hits like Daddy's Home and Ted as well as thrillers like Fear.

Donnie's star brother also had a successful music career, joining New Kids on the Block for several months before leaving to work as a rapper, known then as Marky Mark.

Before there was One Direction or The Vamps, there was New Kids on the Block. Brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Danny Wood and Donnie Wahlberg made up this iconic pop group.

Hits like 'You Got It (The Right Stuff)' and 'Please Don't Go Girl' will still get '90s kids grooving today. They received a Grammy nomination for Best Music Video, Long Form (now known as Best Music Film) for their Hangin' Tough video in 1990.

Marriage

Donnie first said "I do" in 1999, wedding Kimberly 'Kim' Fey. The pair welcomed two children, sons Xavier and Elijah, before their separation in 2008 - with the former couple finalising their divorce in 2010.

Four years later, in 2014, Donnie tied the knot with actress and model Jenny McCarthy. Jenny previously modelled for Playboy magazine and was named Playmate of the Year.

Xavier Wahlberg

Xavier Alexander Wahlberg was born on 4 March 1993. He keeps a low profile, largely distancing himself from the bright lights of fame.

Donnie's eldest son did make a one episode appearance in reality show Donnie Loves Jenny, which followed the day-to-day of the new couple as they settled into married life.

Elijah Wahlberg

Born 20 August 2001, Elijah Hendrix Wahlberg is living up to his middle name as a rising star in the music scene, starting his own band called Pink Laces. The bands dedicated Instagram account features several photos of him in the studio playing several different instruments. Like his brother, he appeared in one episode of Donnie Loves Jenny.

Elijah is clearly more comfortable with the limelight, starring on the debut cover of Jado magazine and sharing pictures of his travels via Instagram
