Who is Jennifer Beals?
Born in Chicago on 19 December 1963, Jennifer Beals debuted on screen with an uncredited role in 1980's My Bodyguard and three years later, starred in iconic 1983 blockbuster Flashdance.
She is best known for films like adventure epic The Book of Eli, mystery thriller Devil in a Blue Dress and comedy Four Rooms.

Star career
Jennifer stars in Flashdance as Alexandra 'Alex' Owens, a passionate dancer who works as a welder during the day. At night, she works as an exotic dancer but dreams of becoming a professional ballerina.
Her other star role cast Jennifer as Bette Porter in The L Word between 2004 to 2009, bringing to life the intelligent museum director in the original series and its sequel, The L Word: Generation Q.

Married life
Jennifer Beals tied the knot with Four Rooms director Alexandre Rockwell in 1986. The pair remained married until 1996, separating after a decade together.
In 1998, she married entrepreneur Ken Dixon with whom she welcomed daughter Ella on 18 November 2005, seven years into their marriage.

Meet her daughter Ella Dixon
Ella Dixon has followed in her star mother's footsteps, getting her first on-screen role in 2021 with an episode appearance in Two Sentence Horror Stories.
In 2022, she had a named role in The Bad Seed Returns, before landing an episode appearance in So Help Me Todd (2024) and the Riley Keough thriller Under the Bridge (2024).

Where is Jennifer now?
