Katie Cassidy has found success on the screen, just like her famous father

Born on 25 November 1986, Katie Cassidy is only daughter of David Cassidy, welcomed with fashion model Sherry Williams. Katie has co-starred on action series Arrow, Selena Gomez classic Monte Carlo and Adam Sandler comedy Click

She has several new projects in the works, and is set to star alongside Joseph Morgan in H.P. Lovecraft adaptation Herbert West: Reanimator. Katie was married to Matthew Rodgers between 2018 and 2021.

Beau Cassidy's career has included both music and screen appearances

Born on 8 February 1991, Beau Cassidy has followed in his father's musical footsteps, releasing tracks like 'Paint Me In Black' and penning music video satire Bigfoot's Love Slave.

He's also worked as an actor and producer, appearing in Burt Paxton, Written By and working behind the scenes as an editor at the trailer agency The Ant Farm.

Inside his love life

David Cassidy was married three times throughout his life. He first tied the knot in 1977, wedding Kay Lenz and divorced six years later in 1983. The next year, he said 'I do' to Meryl Tanz. The pair split in 1988.

He married his third wife Sue Shifrin in 1991 and remained married to her until 2016. They welcomed son Beau in 1991. He had an on-and-off relationship with Sherry Williams, with whom he welcomed daughter Katie.

David got his big break in 1970 on 'The Partridge Family'

Early career

David Cassidy started his acting career in 1969 in Broadway musical The Fig Leaves Are Falling. But it was 1970 that made him a household name with a role on family sitcom The Partridge Family.

Musical talent

Tied to his legacy on screen, David also had a successful career in front of the microphone with 'I Think I Love You', 'Cherish' and 'Daydreamer'. 

In 1971, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist as part of The Partridge Family and won Best Singer Awards in 1973, 1974 and 1975 from German magazine Bravo.

David Cassidy left a poignant message behind in his final moments

Lasting legacy

Just before his death, David recorded David Cassidy: The Last Session and revealed his struggles with alcohol.

According to daughter Katie, the singer's last words, "So much wasted time," have pushed her to make the most of every moment.
