Kim Kardashian is taking style notes from her daughter, North West, as she unveiled her latest daring look. The reality star took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and her daughter sporting matching diamond grills.
The selfie captured the pair posing with their mouths open to show off their diamond-encrusted grills. Kim wore her dark locks slicked back and accessorized with oversized black sunglasses, while North sported a vibrant blue wig that perfectly coordinated with her studded nails.
In the caption, Kim penned: "Lately."
Diamond-encrusted shark grillz are custom dental accessories featuring razor-sharp, tooth-shaped points embellished entirely in sparkling stones. North's bespoke set was designed by celebrity jeweler Johnny Dang and is estimated to be worth around $170,000. If Kim's expensive taste is anything to go by, her set is thought to be just as pricey as her daughter's. Between them, the pair's custom grillz are estimated to be worth nearly $400,000.
According to Yahoo! Finance, the average price of a three-bedroom home in the U.S. is approximately $325,000 to $430,000, heavily dependent on location.
North's style
North is steadily becoming a style muse with her daring and unique approach to fashion. The 12-year-old typically rocks electric blue braids, long fake lashes, faux face tattoos, several piercings, blue contact lenses, and grillz.
When North was just a few months old, Kim told Grazia that her daughter gravitated toward "sweet things that are not too frilly," favoring simple, solid earth-tone pieces. At Vogue's Forces of Fashion conference, the reality star described the then 8-year-old North as "very opinionated" about what she wears, particularly if she dons too much black.
In a chat with Interview Magazine, North was asked what she wanted to be when she grew up. She replied: "I don't know, because I already do a lot of stuff that I want to be when I grow up. I just want to pursue my career now."
In May, North dropped a new track, #N0rth4evr, along with a striking music video that exudes a dark, cinematic aesthetic. The song has lyrics that touch on the pressures of growing up in the spotlight. "Forever and always, I don’t listen, but they talk about me all day," she sings. The track serves as the lead single for her debut EP, also titled #N0rth4evr, released on May 1.
Last year, Kim's eldest daughter appeared in FKA Twigs' "Childlike Things" music video. North donned a furry white hoodie with a pair of matching cozy shorts while her dark tresses were styled into her signature braids. She accessorized her look with a pair of jewel-encrusted glasses and a chunky silver necklace.
