Maya Hawke is enjoying all the next steps that come with married life.
The Stranger Things actress tied the knot on Valentine's Day 2026 in New York City, marrying musician Christian Lee Hutson.
The couple are now putting down roots, and have settled down not far from none other than Maya's mom Uma Thurman.
Speaking with People, Maya, 27, revealed that she and Christian, 35, purchased a home in upstate New York, where Uma also owns a home, reportedly in the Woodstock area of the Catskills.
"I just got myself a home a couple of blocks away from my mom," she shared, gushing: "I'm so excited to finally be able to put some roots down."
It's a timely purchase in more ways than one, as Maya is currently filming God of the Woods, a television adaptation of the bestselling Liz Moore novel, right in the town she grew up in, in the Hudson River Valley, not far from where she has now purchased a new home.
"I am so excited to be at home doing a job I love and care about, so I'm not in that panic spiral of being home and being like, 'When will I ever work again?'" she noted.
Maya went on: "Usually it's like, you're home, and you're panicked about whether you'll ever work again, or you're not home, and you're working and you miss home. I feel like I have the best summer of my life going on, where I get to experience neither thing at the same time."
Maya was born out of her mom's marriage to fellow actor Ethan Hawke, with whom the Kill Bill actress also shares son Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke, 24, who is also an actor. They were married from 1998 to 2005.
Ethan, 55, has been married to wife Ryan Shawhughes Hawke, 43, since 2008, and they are parents to daughters Clementine, 17, and Indiana, 15.
Though Maya and her husband Christian have been romantically linked since 2023, when they were photographed kissing while walking in New York City, they have kept their relationship largely out of the public eye, only making their red carpet debut in April 2025 at the opening night of John Proctor Is The Villain, a Broadway production starring Maya's Stranger Things co-star Sadie Sink.
Christian was born in Kansas City, Missouri, but raised in Los Angeles, and is a singer, songwriter and guitarist best known for his folk, Americana and country music. He has released three studio albums: Beginners (2020), Quitters (2022) and Paradise Pop. 10 (2024). Maya, who is also a singer, and Christian were friends prior to their relationship, and in 2022, they worked together on Maya's second album, titled Moss.
