Kris Jenner mourns heartbreaking death of mom MJ at age 91: 'There are no words'

Kardashian family "momager" Kris Jenner shared the difficult news that her mother Mary Jo "MJ" Shannon had passed away, days before her 92nd birthday on July 26.

The 70-year-old reality TV mogul shared news of the devastating loss on her Instagram page with an old school glamor shot of her mother, who owned a children's clothing store when she welcomed Kris.

"Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful Mommy MJ," Kris began. "There are no words that could ever capture what she has meant to me or the heartbreak of having to say goodbye."

"My mom was the heart of our family. She taught me everything that truly matters… to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted."

"She taught us that family is everything. She showed us how to love unconditionally and how to find joy in the little moments. She showed me how to face life's challenges with resilience and faith," she added.

Kris herself is a mom to six kids, sharing daughters Kim, Kourtney and Khloé, plus son Rob, with former husband Robert Kardashian, and daughters Kendall and Kylie with Caitlyn Jenner.

"Mom, thank you for every sacrifice you made, every piece of wisdom you shared, and every moment you loved us so completely," the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star continued in her tribute. "I will miss our daily talks, your smile, your laughter…"

She touched on the joy of seeing her mother's personality and genes reflected in not only herself, but also her daughters and her grandchildren. Through five of her six kids, Kris is a proud grandma of 13.

"Our hearts are broken, but we find comfort knowing that love like yours never truly leaves us," she penned. "Your love will live on in our family, in our traditions, in every moment we are together, and in every life you touched."

MJ was the matriarch of the Jenner-Kardashian clan, making several public appearances with her family members

"When I look at my kids and my grandkids, I will forever see pieces of you in all of us. There is not a part of me that isn't shaped by you. And if I have done anything right in this world, it's because I spent my life trying to live in a way that would make you proud."

Kris concluded: "Every memory, every moment, every blessing, it was all because of you, and I will forever thank God every single day for making you my mommy. My heart is broken into a million pieces… thank you for giving me the greatest childhood and oh what a beautiful blessed life… I love you forever Mommy. Thank you for giving us everything."

Her many famous friends and followers reached out to send condolences as well, with Melanie Griffith saying: "Sending you so much love Kris. So sorry for your loss. MJ is now with the angels. God Bless," with Ross Mathews also adding: "I'm sending you ALL my love. I'm here if you need ANYTHING. Even just to talk."
