Ivanka Trump infused her vacation style with the season's most covered pattern trend – polka dots. The First Daughter took to Instagram on July 31 to show off her summer sartorial agenda.

The 44-year-old posed alongside her husband, Jared Kushner, in front of the ocean. Ivanka oozed chic in a green mini dress that featured a plunging neckline, spaghetti straps, and an A-line silhouette. The garment was adorned all over with playful white polka dots. Ivanka's luscious blonde locks were left down, styled into soft waves, while her makeup was radiant, courtesy of a glowing complexion and nude lip.

The former model highlighted her toned legs in the snap, choosing to go barefoot for a relaxed finish. Meanwhile Jared, who was also sans shoes, wore white jeans with a simple black T-shirt.

The polka dot print saw a resurgence during the spring/summer 2025 runway shows, with the likes of Jacquemus and Acne Studios integrating them into their designs. Fast forward to the autumn/winter 2025 runway season, the look was everywhere – think Fendi, Isabel Marant, Moschino, Conner Ives, and Altuzzarra.

Ivanka Trump's modeling background

Ivanka's supermodel-worthy legs come as no surprise considering her background in the fashion industry. Ivanka, who was formerly signed to Elite Model Management Corp, graced the runway for the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Thierry Mugler in the late 1990s.

She graced the runway in a black mini dress adorned with purple fur trimming during Theirry Mugler’s Fall 1997 “La Chimère” Haute Couture fashion show in Paris. A sheer scarf was draped round the model's neck while her makeup exuded gothic glamor with a smokey eye and a berry lip

During Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label Fall 1999 Ready To Wear Fashion Show in New York, she wore a pair of figure-hugging red leather pants and a red velvet corset adorned with a large bow accent. A matching red shawl was slung over her shoulders while the look was completed with a pair of patent leather black boots.

However, despite her early success, modeling was not the career path she ultimately chose to pursue. "Modeling was not an endgame for me. I didn't particularly enjoy the act of it," Ivanka previously shared.

Ivanka Trump gave up modeling

"It’s as ruthless an industry as real estate – the people you meet in that business are just as fricking tough," she told Marie Claire in 2007.

Following high school, she gave up modeling in exchange for Wharton business school, with hopes to pursue her goal of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
