Jenna Bush Hager's Morning Boost segment had Craig Melvin in his "feels."
On the Monday, August 17 installment of TODAY, Jenna, as part of her Morning Boost segment, shared a video of a grandmother reuniting with her granddaughter, who traveled from her army station in Maryland to Ohio to celebrate her last cancer treatment.
Craig was swiftly brought to tears over the clip, prompting Jenna to tease: "Look, he does have a heart," before he revealed that his mother, Betty Jo Melvin, had "rang the bell" today, marking the end of her cancer treatment.
The NBC mainstay's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2025 after a routine mammogram.
"It hits home," co-anchor Carson Daly added of the moment. "That's what the Boost does!"
