Sara Gore has a positive health update following her April 30 announcement that she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The NBC mainstay has been on a 10-week leave of absence while undergoing treatment for breast cancer, news she shared during an April episode of her lifestyle show New York Live. "It just felt right to tell you myself. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and I'm going to be stepping away for treatment and surgery," she said at the time.

Now, she has finally been declared cancer free, and has shared an update on her next steps as a return to work is on the horizon.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Sara, 50, shared a photo of herself sitting in a garden, and wrote: "I'm doing really well," before officially declaring: "Let's get that out of the way. Currently cancer free. Hallelujah."

"I'm still in the reconstruction phase and will be for months," she then shared, adding: "It's truly a journey. Healing has taken some time, but every week I've felt a little more like me again."

Expressing her appreciation for her supporters, she continued: "Thank you for the books. The food. The flowers. The prayers. The puzzles. The cards. The texts. The calls. Every thoughtful gesture that came my way. I felt EVERY bit of it."

"You carried me through some really hard days, and I'll never forget your kindness," Sara went on, adding that she would be back on her shows, New York Live and Open House, "soon," and that she "honestly can't wait."

"Until then, I'm soaking up these last few slow mornings appreciating all the moments that usually move by too fast to notice. It's good to be here. I love you all," she concluded.

Fans were then quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it, with one writing: "Continued healing to you, Sara! The airwaves are not the same without you, but your kind spirit and unbeatable drive are pulling you through this. So happy to hear you are taking the time you need to come back even stronger than before."

I had no idea, but I'm so happy you're going to be OK," and: "You look beautiful Sara! What a blessing that you are cancer free! I and your many other loyal viewers and friends, look forward to seeing you back on NY Live and Open House!" as well as: "So glad to hear this wonderful news! When she first shared her cancer diagnosis, Sara, whose mother and sister also had breast cancer, said: "If I didn't say that I was a little bit scared, I'd be lying," noting: "I always knew I was high-risk. I always assumed this day would come. But let me tell you, you are never ready."

"For some reason, even when you catch it early because you're doing everything right, it is an emotional blow," she confessed. "I wasn't ready for that. That actually really surprised me. It really stung."
