The 47-year-old Dawson's Creek alum looked smitten as she joined Jason, 38, at Michael Kors' 45th anniversary dinner in East Hampton, New York, on Thursday night, just weeks after the couple went public with their romance.
Katie looked elegant in a draped royal purple ankle-length dress, adding an unexpected pop of color with bright red square-toe heels.
She completed her look with a cream clutch, while Jason kept things understated in a fitted black crew-neck sweater and tailored black trousers.
The couple cozied up for photographs shared on Michael Kors' Instagram account, which Katie later reposted, as Jason mingled with her famous friends including Naomi Watts and Christie Brinkley.
