Gigi Hadid has well and truly dived into the depths of the sartorial archives to resurrect one of the most coveted red carpet pieces – Elizabeth Hurley's gilded Versace Couture gown from spring/summer 1994.
The supermodel graced the cover of Edward Enninful's 72 Magazine Issue #5 Fall 2026 in celebration of its one-year anniversary. Stripped back against a minimalist backdrop, Gigi posed seated with her chin resting lightly in her hands. The star wore the same Versace Couture maxi dress that Elizabeth debuted at the premiere of Four Weddings And A Funeral alongside her former boyfriend, Hugh Grant, in May 1994.
The gown featured a mix of black silk and lycra and was held together with gold-toned, oversized safety pins. The safety pins drew attention to the cutout waist feature and were used to embellish the straps. The glamorous gown oozed sultry chic through a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit.

"It was just amazing to have something on that was so beautifully crafted," she said. "And it looked incredibly daring, but it was actually completely safe. Like wearing the bathrobe, really."
She continued: "Before I left the house, I bent down and touched my toes and stretched and wiggled and nothing moved, because, you don't need to know why nothing moves," she said. "They're all held together somewhere."
