Denise Richards has taken fans straight back to the '90s after seemingly recreating one of her most iconic movie moments almost three decades later.
The 55-year-old actress shared glimpses from a glamorous new photoshoot that appeared to pay tribute to her 1998 thriller Wild Things, including footage of herself splashing around in a swimming pool.
With her hair wet and swept back from her face, Denise could be seen posing in the water in footage from the shoot, while another image showed the actress wearing a sheer black lace cover-up.
© Denise Richards/InstagramThe photoshoot immediately reminded fans of Denise's famous pool scenes from Wild Things, in which she played wealthy high-school student Kelly Van Ryan opposite Neve Campbell, Matt Dillon and Kevin Bacon. The movie was released in March 1998 and became one of the actress's defining early roles.
"Did you re-enact that scene from Wild Things with you climbing out of the pool?" one fan asked her, prompting Denise to teasingly respond: "Maybe."
"Pretty sure that's the idea," another follower wrote, while a third declared: "Wild Things 2.0."

The shoot was first teased by Denise's hair and makeup artist Pamela Brogardi, who shared a behind-the-scenes snap alongside the caption: "Sneak peek from today's shoot."
Footage from the session showed Denise submerged in the pool with slicked-back hair as she looked towards the camera – imagery that closely echoed Kelly's memorable scenes from the movie.

Wild Things helped cement Denise as one of the biggest screen stars of the late '90s.
She had appeared in Starship Troopers the previous year and went on to play Bond girl Dr Christmas Jones opposite Pierce Brosnan in 1999's The World Is Not Enough.

Denise shares daughters Sami, 22, and Lola, 21, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, whom she was married to from 2002 to 2006. She is also mom to daughter Eloise, 15, whom she adopted as a single parent.
Denise later married Aaron Phypers in 2018, though he filed for divorce in July 2025 after nearly seven years of marriage.
