Susan Lucci ensured all eyes were on her as she stepped out for a night to remember in New York City.
The All My Children joined a host of celebrities on Tuesday September 22 to attend the Metropolitan Opera's star-studded opening night at the Lincoln Center in New York City.
Turning heads on the red carpet, Susan looked incredible in a floor-length red sequin gown by Carolina Herrera teamed with a red fur shawl. She accessorized her look with a sequin clutch and pearls, and wore her brunette hair in her signature bouncy blow dry. Makeup-wise, Susan opted for a smokey eye and bold red lip to match her outfit.
Susan shared footage of herself arriving at the venue on social media - which was met with a mass of compliments from her fans. "Just when we think you cannot look more beautiful…. You outdo yourself again! Wow!" one wrote, while another responded: "As usual elegance and beauty. Not trying to stand out, yet she does." A third added: "Ruby Red perfection on a beautiful woman. Absolutely stunning."
Susan enjoyed the debut performance of Verdi' Macbeth, directed by Louisa Proske. Other famous faces in attendance included Katie Holmes and her boyfriend Jason Bard Yarmosky, Kate Walsh and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

She divulged: "I start the day with coffee—and drink hot water and lemon afterwards all day through. My diet is basically The Mediterranean diet, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and fish. Lastly, I do a Pilates workout almost every morning!"
Susan also opened up about her family, and how spending time with them is one of her favorite activities. Family is everything to the actress, who was married to Helmut Huber from 1969 until his death in 2022 aged 84.

She told HELLO!: "Ultimately, I have learned that resilience isn’t about bouncing back; it’s about bouncing forward with newfound wisdom and resilience. My biggest rocks have undeniably been the unwavering support of my friends and family. Their unconditional love has been an anchor that has kept me grounded and a constant reminder that I am never alone." She is also a grandmother-of-four to Royce, Brendan, Hayden, and Mason.
© InstagramIn another interview with HELLO!, Susan spoke about putting the grief of losing her husband into words as she marked the release of her second autobiography, La Lucci.
"When I lost my husband, I felt lost. Completely. I felt like half a person" she shared. "I felt like I didn't even know what I'd do." Just two months later, though, she'd had a performance scheduled that she decided to go ahead with. "I kept that, [because] it was comedy, I knew I would be laughing, that would be good for me," Susan noted.
© Instagram"And that was one of the first steps I took." "I was trying to find me again in all of this. And being on that stage and doing that, working with people I had worked with and who I loved, that helped me put one foot in front of the other, helped me stand up."
Susan also put a lot of her energy into renovating their home. "My husband used to say, if anything happened to me, he couldn't stay there because I would be everywhere in the house and he would miss me too much." But the star decided that she was "happier" in their marital home, and instead of moving away, she wanted to follow through on the plans they'd made to renovate their home.
