Chris Hemsworth couldn't hide his pride after his daughter India Rose won a bull-riding competition as the only girl taking part. The actor celebrated the 14-year-old's achievement on Instagram on September 30, sharing footage of her riding a bucking bull around a dirt arena.
"Just wanna say my daughter is a savage. Only girl in the comp and took home the win proud moment," he wrote alongside the videos.
India is the eldest of Chris and wife Elsa Pataky's three children, and her latest sporting achievement gave her famous father another reason to cheer her on.
India corrects her famous dad
Alongside the competition footage, Chris shared a lighthearted exchange with India before her ride. Walking beside his daughter, he asked how she was feeling and suggested that she aim to stay on the bull for seven seconds.
India quickly corrected him, explaining that the target was eight seconds. Chris accepted the correction with a joke at his own expense, leaving his daughter to demonstrate her knowledge in the arena.
Her previous rodeo outing
This wasn't India's first experience of bull riding. In January 2025, Elsa shared footage from a family rodeo outing during which India and one of her younger brothers took turns riding.
India wore a helmet and protective riding gear as her family encouraged her before she entered the arena. The clip showed her being thrown from the animal, while another sequence captured one of the twins taking part.
"Starting the year with a little bit of adrenaline," Elsa wrote alongside her post, which also included family photographs from the outing.
India's love of adventure
India has also impressed her father with her confidence on a dirt bike. Earlier this year, Chris shared footage of his daughter tackling a jump, with the bike briefly airborne before she negotiated the landing. His accompanying message celebrated her ability to hold on through the challenging manoeuvre.
Motorbike riding is one of several outdoor interests the family shares, alongside surfing and horse riding. Chris and Elsa have regularly offered glimpses of those activities through their social media posts, with both parents joining their children outdoors.
India's passion for horses is something she shares particularly closely with her mother. The pair have been photographed riding together over the years, with Elsa encouraging her daughter's interest in the sport.
A special trip with Elsa
Over the summer, India joined Elsa on a trip to Kenya, where their itinerary included riding horses across the Maasai Mara.
Elsa shared photographs of the group enjoying wildlife sightings and evenings around a campfire, with India appearing alongside her mother in the holiday collection.
"Memories from one of my favourite places in the world... Kenya," Elsa wrote on Instagram, describing the experience as "the adventure of a lifetime."
Family life in Australia
Chris and Elsa also share twin sons Sasha and Tristan, 12. The couple married in December 2010 and later moved from Los Angeles to Byron Bay, Australia, in 2015.
Their home life has given the children plenty of opportunities to pursue their interests, with the beach nearby and horses kept at the family's farm.
The twins have enjoyed their own sporting milestones, too. In June 2025, Chris celebrated Sasha winning his first boardriders competition, sharing footage and a photograph of Elsa embracing their son.
"So happy for my boy winning his first board riders comp," he wrote at the time, giving the local Byron Bay club a grateful mention alongside his congratulations.
