When it comes to transforming her home for a holiday celebration, Khloé Kardashian certainly doesn't do things by halves. The reality star took to her Instagram Stories on October 8 to show off her spectacularly spooky Halloween decor located at her $17 million estate.
The first photo captured her front door framed with skeletons, pumpkins, and lush foliage, all bathed in eerie red lighting with a fog machine setting the mood. She then shared a video set to "This is Halloween", revealing two giant, moving Jack Skellington figures flanking the door. The final snap showed Khloé's daughter, True, riding a scooter in front of the house in the dark. Khloé also tagged events and design company Butterfly Floral in the post.
Located in the gated enclave of Hidden Hills, Khloé's home was built next door to her mother Kris Jenner's renovated property. After undergoing construction for two years, the reality star finally moved into the new-build back in 2021, with the home sitting on a 10,000 square foot piece of land.
During an episode of The Kardashians, Khloé opened up about her dream home. "It's just so great to finally see this be a tangible house," she said.
"We're so excited that this is … where we get to create all our memories … and put our roots down. This is mine."
"She organized everything herself, she chose everything herself. She used her imagination, her creativity, her resources. Every single thing that went into this home is all because of Khloé’s blood, sweat and tears," added Kris.
The mother-and-daughter duo invested a total of $37 million to build neighboring mansions on the 4.4 acre land, with Kris spending over $20 million. Khloé sold her Calabasas home for $15.5 million eight months after the pair's joint expenditure.
Khloé Kardashian's family life
Khloé and Tristan Thompson share two children together – daughter True and son Tatum. The NBA star is also a father to son Prince, nine, with Jordan Craig and son Theo, four, with Maralee Nichols.
The reality star co-parents amicably with Tristan, who she dated on and off from 2016 to 2021, and is not currently publicly dating anyone. Speaking about the possibility of welcoming a third child on the February 18 episode of her podcast, Khloé candidly confessed: "I don't know if I have the bandwidth for a third."
"I'm also not married, and I want to be married to have more kids," she added. And while Khloé would love for True to experience sisterhood the way she did, she noted that True has plenty of cousins with whom she is "close like sisters."
