Pamela Anderson, 59, provided a refreshing take on beauty with a bold statement.
The mogul has been on a sans-makeup journey for several years and strongly believes that beauty is deeper than the surface, and that it is "so subjective."
The star revealed to People: "When I think about beauty, I think of ancient beauty."
Pamela emphasized celebrating one's uniqueness regarding their features and overall look, and she's over beauty being "so tailor-made to what's being fed to us."
The actress wants to remain authentic and do what feels right to her, not what society's beauty standards dictate.
She explained: "I really put the blinders on for what's going on around me, and [ask myself] 'What do I love? What do I want to do?'"
Beauty is more than a look for Pamela, instead, it's a force of energy, as she expressed: "It's not necessarily about being pretty. Beauty, I think, is more of an inner radiance."
She's confident and she won't allow anyone to set the bar for her, as she stated: "I will not be told what beautiful is. I have my own version of beauty, and it's ageless. And it's not comparative to other people."
Most celebrities have a whole glam team behind them, with their own vision of a client's look, however, Pamela is sticking to her "rebellious" vision instead.
She added: "I think we're really hard on ourselves. With stylists and glam teams and all these kinds of things, they all have their ideas and their mood boards. I want to get my own mood board. I am my own mood board. So I think this is all very much connected."
Pamela made her sans-makeup debut during Paris Fashion Week in 2023, however, she had no idea that she would create a beauty movement with her bold move.
She revealed to The Sunday Times: "I didn't realize it was going to start all of this, all these people really relating to me. It's a great message — we are good enough just the way we are. I have to remind myself of that every day."
In another interview with People, Pamela shared that she wants out of the copy-paste beauty world, and she doesn't want to look like anyone but herself.
She explained: "I think people are starting to look more alike these days. But that has a lot to do with AI and social media and filters. I just never want to get caught up in that trap."
The actress continued: "I would want to jump off the crazy train, and just... Well, I don't know if I've jumped off the crazy train. I still have fun, but I don't want to look like anybody else. I want to look like me."
