Pamela Anderson brought a dose of old-school Hollywood glamour to Venice as she stepped out in a dramatic red gown on Friday.

The 59-year-old Baywatch icon attended the Golden Globes x Aman Beverly Hills Cocktail Party during the Venice International Film Festival on Friday, September 4, 2026 looking every inch the blonde bombshell.

Pamela made a striking entrance in a floor-sweeping scarlet gown with a softly draped silhouette and dramatic cape-style detailing falling from one shoulder.

A sculptural gold floral brooch added an extra touch of glamour, while the actress wore her platinum blonde hair in voluminous curls around her shoulders.

The vibrant look marked quite a change from the understated neutral ensembles Pamela has increasingly made her signature in recent years – although she continued to embrace the pared-back beauty aesthetic she has become known for.

Pamela has famously stepped away from the heavy eye make-up and ultra-glamorous beauty looks that defined much of her early career, often appearing at major events with little or no make-up.

Earlier as she made her way to Venice, the actress opted for a completely different look, wearing an elegant palette of cream, white and almond tones.

It is a striking reinvention for a woman whose platinum hair, smoky eyes and red Baywatch swimsuit became some of the defining images of the 1990s.

Pamela first made headlines by going make-up-free at Paris Fashion Week in 2023 and has since explained that the decision began almost spontaneously.

"I didn't want to sit in a makeup chair for three hours when I could be at the Louvre," she said earlier this year while reflecting on the moment.

Pamela is at the festival ahead of the screening of her new film Place to Be, directed by Kornél Mundruczó, which is being presented in the Venice Open – Out of Competition section.

The Australian-shot movie stars Ellen Burstyn as an older woman who sets out on an unusual road trip to return a lost racing pigeon, eventually forming an unexpected friendship along the way.

The impressive ensemble also includes Taika Waititi, Murray Bartlett and David Wenham, with Pamela playing Ellen's daughter. The film will screen publicly in Venice on September 9. It is the latest chapter in a remarkable career renaissance for the former Baywatch star.

Her professional resurgence has coincided with a joyful period in her family life too.

In July, Pamela's younger son Dylan Jagger Lee, whom she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee, married longtime partner Paula Bruss in an intimate ceremony in Saint-Tropez.

Pamela joined Dylan, 28, his older brother Brandon Thomas Lee, 30, and Tommy for the celebrations, wearing a custom Oscar de la Renta gown.
