Christopher Meloni is enjoying some downtime before heading into a busy few months.
Over the weekend, the Law & Order: SVU alum gave a glimpse into his latest getaway with wife Sherman Meloni, to the "hills of Scotland" as well as Ireland.
The trip comes over a year after he bid farewell to the Law & Order spin-off Law & Order: Organized Crime, but just a few months before he debuts his latest show in which he is the leading star, The Land.
Taking to Instagram, Chris, 65, first shared a selfie of him and his wife in raincoats, with a stunning cliff behind them.
He next shared more glimpses of their travels, as well as additional photos of Sherman and loved-up selfies.
"I stalked the hills of Scotland, drove on the wrong side of the roads of Ireland, met the grandest of [people] with partner in crime @sherman.meloni," Chris wrote.
Chris added that he also "reunited with old friends … over 20 [years] later after sharing the stage with ye at The Gate," adding that "to see you again was the highlight of the trip."
Fans were then quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it, with one writing: "Welcome to this side of the pond," as others followed suit with: "I was lucky enough to see you in The Gate production of A View from the Bridge. You were fantastic. Perfect cast. Welcome back," and: "Great pictures!!!" as well as: "Really miss my Law & Order: Organized Crime. I only watch because of you though so hope we'll get to see you in something soon."
Chris' next project, a Hulu football drama series, will premiere on Monday, February 15, hours after the Super Bowl. The first two episodes will drop at 9 p.m. PT, followed by one new episode a week.
Created by Dan Fogelman (This Is Us, Paradise), it also stars Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford, Sam Corlett, Tanner Zagarino, Chloe Bennet, Bridget Moynahan, William H. Macy and Omar Epps.
The official series synopsis reads: "After several disappointing seasons, Cleveland Browns' head coach Danny Roarke (Chris) has one last chance to turn around his football team. His fate rests on a newly drafted Ohio State quarterback — who just happens to be his son."
It continues: "Meanwhile, the owner, Hal Durkin (William), must decide which of his two daughters is best equipped to take over the team. The Land is the story of two families, in which the high-stakes drama plays out not only on the field but also in the front offices of this NFL franchise, as a loyal fanbase wants a winning season now … or face big changes if they don't."
