Julia Roberts celebrated her 59th birthday on October 28, and her niece, Emma Roberts, didn't let it go unrecognized.
The American Horror Story star, 35, took to Instagram to pen a sweet tribute to her Hollywood aunt, alongside a never-before-seen photo of the lookalike relatives.
"Happy birthday Aunt Julia," Emma wrote alongside a crown emoji. "I love you beyond!!"
The accompanying photo was taken during Emma's Idaho wedding celebrations in July and featured her beaming a wide smile like her aunts as the duo embraced tightly.
Emma looked beautiful in a white patterned dress, while Julie wore a ruffled white blouse and olive-green knee-length shorts featuring silver flower brocades.
Emma wasn't the only person in Julia's life to publicly mark her birthday; her husband, Danny Moder, also paid tribute with a social media post.
The cinematographer, 57, took to his Instagram page with a throwback from a previous birthday celebration, in which he was pictured kissing her shoulder while she flashed her signature megawatt smile mid-laugh, a birthday cake in front of them.
"Celebrating everyday… but october 28 the most. more candles bring more joy. love you so much," he sweetly captioned the shot.
Julia and Danny's romance
Julia and Danny have been married since 2002, tying the knot in a private ceremony on her ranch in New Mexico. When they met on the set of The Mexican in 2000, Julia was dating actor Benjamin Bratt and Danny was married to Vera Steimberg. He filed for divorce shortly after, and the pair went public with their romance.
The couple also share three kids, twins Phinnaeus and Hazel, 21, and son Henry, 19, all of whom are now college students living away from home.
In 2022, the Pretty Woman star shared rare insight into their home life and their dynamic off-camera. "When I'm not working, [being a homemaker] is my full-time job," she shared on CBS Sunday Morning. "It isn't rainbows and kittens every day, but it does bring me a lot of joy."
"It's just never consumed me, being an actor. It is my dream come true, but it is not my only dream come true. The life that I have built with my husband [and] the life that we've built with our children, that's the best stuff. To come home at the end of the day, triumphantly, to them."
Julia also explained that the way she and Danny keep their marriage strong more than 20 years later is making concerted efforts to stay romantic and keep in touch. "[Writing handwritten notes is] something Danny and I have always done," she noted, a practice she especially carries through long production schedules.
"The first letter he ever wrote me, which was seven pages long, I still have it tucked away," the actress gushed. "One day I'll show it to [my daughter] Hazel and say, 'That's what you're looking for.'"
