Taylor Red singer, Nicole Taylor, has died aged 35, her "heartbroken" triplet sisters announced on Monday, November 2.
Nika and Natalie Taylor, who are also in the group, revealed that the country star passed away on September 28, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee.
"Nicole, the oldest of us three sisters, will be greatly missed. She was our leader and our best friend," the sisters said in a statement on their website. "We are heartbroken, but we know she is in Heaven and will see her again."
Nika and Natalie also shared a YouTube video to pay tribute to their sister, titled "We Lost Our Triplet Sister Nicole," who was older than Natalie by one minute and older than Nika by two minutes.
"We are shocked and heartbroken to announce the passing of our sister Nicole Taylor," they began.
"This isn't the video we thought we'd ever be making. You know, we thought she would be here sharing her story of earthly healing, but instead we're here sharing her story of heavenly healing and she's at peace and no longer suffering, so we're thankful for that."
They continued: "We're still processing everything. This honestly feels really hard to talk about, but we're going to do our best in sharing some of her story.
"We are heartbroken, but we know she is in Heaven and will see her again."
Nicole's cause of death
Natalie and Nika revealed that Nicole had been diagnosed with "very aggressive" stage three breast cancer in 2022.
Recalling the moment Nicole was diagnosed, Natalie said: "I just remember breaking down in absolute shock. I was just so surprised. We've been blessed with good health our whole life so this was a big shock and it wasn't what we were expecting.
"I was crying and ran out to the hallway to tell Nika and I just remember Nicola said, 'God's going to use this for his glory.'"
Despite responding well to treatment and being told at one point she had "no evidence of the disease," Nicole's breast cancer returned and had progressed to stage four.
Nicole was told she had just three months left but beat the prognosis to live another year before she died in September 2026.
The sisters said she faced her cancer battle with "fearlessness," with Natalie adding: "Before she was going back for a really serious surgery, I remember looking at Nicole, and I was frightened, and Nicole just reassured me."
Nika and Natalie shared a short clip of their YouTube video on Instagram, alongside the message: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life - John 3:16."
