Amanda Holden is expected to return to Britain's Got Talent next week.
The star, who was discharged from hospital on Monday after giving birth to a baby girl, aims to rejoin the show on Saturday February 12.
The 40-year-old has been recovering at her home in south west London with new daughter Hollie for the past few days after a three-day stint in a critical condition.
She is said to be feeling "upbeat" after giving birth eight days ago and being transferred to an intensive care unit.
Amanda has not been replaced for the BGT auditions she has missed.
A friend of the actress said: "It is fantastic how well she is recovering, and she is feeling upbeat and very happy.
"Amanda is overwhelmed by all the lovely messages she has received."
