Vicky Entwistle - aka Janice Battersby - leaves 'Corrie'
Coronation Street actress Vicky Entwistle is leaving Weatherfield after 14 years.
Vicky, well known as loudmouth Janice Battersby, will disappear from the ITV soap in December.
According to the star she felt it was a case of "now or never".
"Corrie means so much to me and I could easily have played Janice for the rest of my acting career. But I'd thought of leaving for some time and couldn't deny those feelings," she said.
"I've a hankering to do other drama projects and so if I don't make this move now I never will."
