Elton John buys new £4.8 million mansion in LA

Sir Elton John has bought a new mansion in Los Angeles - sparking rumours he and partner David Furnish are making room for a second child.

Elton, 65, and producer David, 49, reportedly want to give adopted 20-month-old son Zachary a new brother or sister and the Sun reports the singer has splashed out £4.8 million on a new home.

A source said that they may move in as early as Christmas and set builders to work on a nursery and music studio to get the pad ready for their new addition.

David revealed last month he and Elton are hoping for another child.

He said: "We are looking at it but it's not just a matter of clicking your fingers and it's done. It needs a lot of planning and thought."
