Gary Barlow blasts 'X Factor' bickering

X Factor judge Gary Barlow has spoken out against the "bickering" that has beset this year's show.

He says it's not what viewers tune in to see, but rather the talent should be what gets people talking.

Speaking on ITV's Daybreak he said: "I'll be honest, we're not too fond of falling out because it's all about the contestant, it's got to be with this competition.

"That's what people are tuning in for.

"They can have bickering at home every day of the week. I don't like us to be seen bickering on stage."

His comments came after a simmering on-screen row between judges Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos.

Peace-maker Gary is said to have steped in and insisted that the pair kiss and make up.

And it seemed to work to an extent when Kelly told Radio 1's Chris Moyles that she and fellow panel-mate Tulisa had "agreed to disagree".

Reinforcing his vision for the show, Gary added: "It's all about what we're putting on the stage and whether we like it or not, so when we all start falling out I'm not a fan of that at all."
