He's built something of a reputation for sartorial flamboyance with his colourful suits and statement ties, but controversial chat show host Jonathan Ross was looking the picture of style sobriety in a new waxwork figure unveiled at Madame Tussauds this week.
And it's not only his wardrobe - he donated the suit, shirt, tie and shoes the statue is wearing - which has been played down. It's also been pointed out that the figure of the 48-year-old is noticeably more streamlined around the face.
Announcing his wax immortalisation via the current ubiquitous social networking vehicle Twitter, Jonathan declared: "I have been unveiled at Madame Tussauds", but then admitted he hasn't actually seen the representation yet.
In preparation for the figure, which is seated in a recreation of the Friday Night set, he was photographed extensively and submitted to over 300 measurements.
