Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage cookery school has been ruined after a huge fire attacked the building on the evening on February 7.
The chef himself is away on a long-distance trip and was not in the country when it happened.
The refurbished barns were used as a cookery school, events venue and were also home to some of the scenes in The River Cottage television programmes.
It is still unclear exactly what started the fire, but it is assumed it began in the kitchens.
The River Cottage team released a statement saying: "A serious fire severely damaged the main barn at Park Farm, River Cottage HQ late last night in Axminster.
"Thankfully no people, or animals were hurt. The River Cottage team are shocked and upset, and are dealing with the damage today.
"Hugh is away on a long distance filming trip and will be informed as soon as he can be contacted."
