Rupert Friend, the boyfriend of Keira Knightley, has made it clear that he's behind the actress' controversial anti-domestic violence video all the way. "I think that banning an advert because it is shocking is quite the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of," Rupert told a reporter from the Telegraph.
The actor, who's currently in the spotlight himself as his new flick Cheri – in which he shares the screen with the Michelle Pfeiffer – goes in general release, insists, "What is shocking is that women are getting hit. The point is to shock people."
Adding that his mother was a domestic abuse lawyer, the 27-year-old says, "I've been involved on the very outskirts of the campaign to stop domestic abuse for some time."
