Charlie Sheen endorses Rob Lowe to replace him

Thursday March 10, 2011

Charlie Sheen is coming to terms with his sacking from Two and a Half Men.

In a recent radio interview, the troubled actor was questioned about his possible replacement on the hit sitcom.

And he quickly endorsed West Wing actor Rob Lowe.

"He a buddy of mine, he's a beautiful man, he's a brilliant actor and I hope he does it and kicks its ass – because I still get paid," said the 45-year-old.

Asked whether he had any advice should another star step into his shoes, Charlie added: "I recommend making it their own.

"Don’t look at the 177 brilliant episodes I did, ignore the 44 re-runs every week that you can't avoid, cancel your Sheen app."

The dad-of-five also took the time to make amends for one of his recent verbal outbursts.

Earlier in the week, Charlie called his former co-star Jon Cryer a "turncoat, a traitor and a troll", because he was upset that "I didn't get a text or a phone call saying, 'Hey dude, back off. I got your back."

But he has since been rethinking his comments.

"I'll apologise to Jon right now," he said. "I was in a mood and I threw it out to somebody…It's a half-apology, it's an apol."
