Michael Douglas' son could face life in prison on drugs charge

Cameron Douglas, the 30-year-old son of actor Michael and his first wife Diandra, could be facing life in prison for selling drugs over a three year period.

The occasional actor is accused of possessing and distributing forms of methamphetamine. He is looking at a minimum sentence of ten years and a maximum of life.

He was arrested at a Manhattan hotel on July 28, and the charges against him were read the following day, although news of his arrest only surfaced last week.

Between 2006 and 2009 he is accused of receiving large quantities of illegal drugs in California and sending them to New York via FedEx.

His accomplices are cooperating with America's Drug Enforcement Administration court records show. A court date has not yet been set.
