Kate Bosworth reveals her engagement

Actress Kate Bosworth has let slip that she is engaged to director Michael Polish.

The Blue Crush star has been dating the 41-year-old film maker for about a year after they met when he cast her in Big Sur.

She plays Jack Kerouac's love interest in the film about the author's trips to a cabin on the Northern California coast.

Kate revealed the news in a blog post for Vogue magazine about her holiday in South Korea.

She said: "On our first day in Seoul, my fiance, Michael Polish, and I venture out to discover Changdeokgung Palace."

The 29-year-old was first spotted stepping out with him at a Coldplay concert in August 2011 in LA.

Kate split from her Star Dog co-star Alexander Skarsgard last year after two years of dating and has also dated British actor Orlando Bloom.
