Prince William dons robes at Order of Garter service

Prince William dons robes at Order of Garter service

Taking part in one last royal ceremony before heading to Africa for an official tour, a cheerful Prince William put on the traditional velvet robes for Monday's Order of the Garter service in Windsor.

William joined the Queen as well as princes Andrew and Edward at the annual procession and ceremony that honours the oldest British order of chivalry, which he joined two years ago.

Prince Charles, who is recovering from a chest infection, did not attend the service.

Following the events, William jetted off to meet up with younger brother Prince Harry in Africa, where they will visit charity projects before cheering on England at the World Cup.
