The singer was due to perform a solo gig in the Spanish capital this week.
As a result of the grounded planes, however, she has been unable to reach her fans.
And it seems the chaos is far from over.
As a black cloud sweeps over the UK, air traffic control companies say "no non-emergency flights will be allowed in or out of the UK before 7pm on Friday".
