Alanis Morissette reveals the sex of her baby

A spokesperson for Alanis Morissette has confirmed she is expecting a baby boy.

The singer and her husband, MC Souleye, found out the gender of their child after a recent pregnancy scan.

The star told a US publication she only became aware she was pregnant after visiting the doctor for another reason.

At her baby shower in October, Alanis was pictured leaving the party with a gift bag exclaiming 'It’s a boy’.

But despite this, the 36-year-old refused to comment on the baby’s sex.

Alanis and her husband married in May after an eight month whirlwind romance.

Tweeting about her new union, the Canadian songstress said: “We’re very excited to embark on this journey with each other”.
