Graham Linehan has revealed he could be reuniting The IT Crowd for a special in 2013.
The show's creator and writer hinted that he may revive the hit Channel 4 series, starring Chris O'Dowd and Richard Ayoade, for a one-off episode in the coming year.
"Hoping to do a special middle of next year," he wrote on Twitter.
Graham previously admitted that he has no plans to make a fifth series of the hit show, which ran from 2006 until 2010.
"I'll say right off the bat... the bad news is no IT Crowd series five," he told Reddit.com.
"I felt that the last series was a nice strong point to go out on, and anything further might just be running on the spot. You don't do your best work when you're running on the spot. It feels like a natural time to wind things down."
Both Chris and Richard have said they're up for reprising their characters, IT technician Roy Trenneman and geek Maurice Moss.
"It is in Graham Linehan's hands. It's down to him really. He would write it and we would wait for him by The IT Crowd phone, and tell us that he has written our scripts," said Richard.
Chris added: "I'd love to do something more with those characters. I don't think we said goodbye to them properly."
