Ed Hardy designer Christian parties with jet set at Cannes

Christian Audigier, the man behind the Ed Hardy fashion label favoured by the likes of Britney Spears and Madonna, has been mingling with members of the cine scene on the French Riviera.  

In town with his statuesque wife Ira, Christian celebrated his May 21 birthday - his 51st - with a lavish party at the Palm Beach Casino on the Croisette. He was greeted by thunderous cheering, applause and showers of confetti when he breezed into the do, at which 50 Cent and Lenny Kravitz provided the entertainment. 

Among those helping him celebrate were George Clooney and Jean Claude Van Damme.  

Before the party Christian updated fans on the action via his website. "Fifty’s team is testing the stage… Lenny Kravitz is in the wet sauna getting his vocals loose for his performance, and after that he’s going to meditate," he wrote.  

The Cannes trip hasn't all been parties and fashion, though. He was in town for the launch of action thriller Farenheit 513, which he produced and starred in
