The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts joined the Henley Festival festivities, in partnership with BMW, on the banks of the River Thames the weekend of 9 – 13 July.
This summer Prince Charles’s charity linked up with the non-profit organisation that supports charitable initiatives in the Thames Valley, to promote children’s participation in the arts.
Legendry group The Jacksons took to the stage at the glamorous event before taking the time to meet a group of local children benefiting from the charity’s support.
All proceeds went to the Henley Festival Trust who in turn are supporting the Prince’s Foundation to give underprivileged children the chance of inspirational and life-changing experiences.
Children & the Arts helps to transform the lives of children from socially and economically deprived backgrounds through involvement in the arts. The initiative also aims to give teachers the confidence and resources to bring the arts into the classroom as well as offering intensive arts-based training and development.
