A rhinestone-encrusted glove worn by the late king of pop the first time he performed the Moonwalk in 1983 has been bought at auction for nine times more than the estimated selling price.
Among 70 of the singer's items being sold at the Big Apple event, the glove was purchased by a Hong Kong businessman.
Hoffman Ma bought the item on behalf of a hotel in Macau, China, where it will now go on display.
The auction, which attracted thousands of bidders worldwide, also saw Michael's black zipper-laden Bad jacket sold for $225,000.
