Since she put away her sports gear at the end of the 2012 Olympic Games and retired from track cycling for good, Victoria Pendleton has revelled in her chances to get dressed up; and the task of launching Ascot 2013 was no exception.
In an elegant white gown, towering beige heels and a decadent pink hat fit for the races, Victoria attended a photocall in London's Hyde Park to launch the famous horse racing event.
This year's campaign is entitled 'The Colour and the Glory' and is branded with a woman wearing the same outfit Victoria sported on Thursday.
The dress, revealed as 32-year-old Victoria stepped out from a horse-drawn carriage, is by designer Emilia Wickstead and the striking fuschia hat by Irish milliner Philip Treacy.
Since her medal-winning performances at the Games the Bedford-born brunette has starred in Strictly Come Dancing, made numerous television performances and is also planning her wedding to former-trainer Scott Gardner.
